How to Set Goals, Habits, and Visions ✨
A new year means new goals, habits, and visions✨
Right now is our time to cast a vision for the next twelve months and decide who we want to be and who we want to become. This can be exciting and overwhelming all at once.
Goal setting is important but often difficult in the grand scheme of things. I know what you’re thinking. You have big goals, but you also have kids, a job, you volunteer on weekends, have errands to run, and a last-minute get-together with the girls (if you can even make it on time!).
I know how it goes! We are so busy and sometimes your kid coming home with an empty lunchbox feels like the greatest accomplishment, but please don’t believe you’ve reached your highest potential yet. Friend, we’ve got much more within us just waiting to prosper! 💓
We set goals because they allow us to identify habits that will help us become more intentional about the things that matter most.
Let’s walk through this together:
When setting your goals and visions for the year, start by identifying and naming what is most important in your life.
Ask yourself why these things are a priority (our “why” helps us stay on track and, girl, do we need the accountability in this crazy life! 🤣).
We’ve all got a dream that we say we’d “love to do one day”. I say, “do it!” Name a few things that you want to focus on, but maybe haven't been a priority in the past.
When setting a vision, we’re forced to think about what the most ideal version of our life may look like. This means we are healthy in our relationships, minds, hearts, and physicality.
Maybe you loved something about last year and want to bring it into this year. Or, maybe you’ve been living in a world of predictability and need to spice things up a little. Either way, that dream is within you and we’re bringing it out into the world! 🙌
Ask yourself these questions:
For each item you identified, what is one thing you can do daily to help you reach that goal by December?
How can you keep yourself accountable to do that one thing every day?
Finally, what are some milestones we can celebrate this year to keep you motivated as you create these new habits?
Breaking down your goals and visions into daily habits will pull you back into the intentionality of the present moment. I can’t wait to celebrate these goals with you.
Dream big.
