I'm The Adult and You're The Child?

“I’m the adult and you’re the child”, is a phrase that’s been etched in my brain since childhood. Especially as the mom of an inquisitive young lady, I totally get the concept now. Nonetheless, the reality of it often made me feel “less than”. 

Let this serve as a PSA that your girls are people too. Little ladies with big life issues, big emotions, major problems to solve, and a lot less life perspective to make sense of it. 

Dismissing curiosity and lacking patience isn’t the best value of your relationship. Yes, they’re the child so be encouraged as the adult to allow your life experience and patience to fill their gaps.
